Our added value is in linking the firm's new product assets to the desired results. The Product Capability Inventory identifies strengths, gaps and priorities. With this knowledge, a solution, specific to your firm's unique situation, is designed and implemented.
The Product Capability Inventory report provides a graphical format that easily identifies areas of effort and priority.
The Financial-Technical-Strategic selection tool is an example of one of the tools that Product Development Innovation brings to each client engagement.
Product Development Innovation has a standard implementation format but can also provide flexibility. The goal is to improve the client's results, not interfere with their business. To learn more, Subscribe to our newsletter
To grow your New Product Capability, we execute three phases: the Product Capability Inventory, the System Framework Design, and Training and Implementation.
A PRODUCT CAPABILITY INVENTORY is the first step in linking assets to results. This inventory recognizes that the client will have some of the necessary elements in place, identifies gaps and sets priorities for addressing the issues. This results in a clear understanding of the firm's current new product capacity and actions to be taken to address weaknesses.
SYSTEM FRAMEWORK DESIGN builds on the knowledge gained in the Product Capability Inventory. Based on our knowledge of what works, Product Development Innovation brings an assortment of standard and proprietary tools to each engagement. Standard tools would include a "phases and milestones" project format. Proprietary tools include the Financial-Technical-Strategic (FiTS) Product Selection System. The tools are chosen and adapted based on the needs of your business. The result is a scalable system providing current results and a path for future growth.
TRAINING and IMPLEMENTATION. New tools and enhanced processes don't add value without operational knowledge. Therefore a core team is first trained and process refinements are identified. A pilot project is selected and all users are trained. The pilot project is executed to deliver results and demonstrate new tools by example.
Throughout the engagement, STAKEHOLDER UPDATES are held to keep all concerned apprised of progress.
